Non-target arthropods - Orchards

Orchard studies usually have plots of at least 100 trees each, and are sampled by inventory spraying selected trees and collecting arthropods from sheets beneath them.  Such methods are suitable for most tree crops, but study sites need to be "insect rich" so low input orchards or those untreated during the season make the best sites.  Our field station in Provence is ideally situated for investigating field effects in orchards.
