Plant protection products - laboratory studies

Ecotox has been testing non-target arthropods in the laboratory since 1992 and has been involved in ring-testing many of the current guidelines, including the two mandatory species Typhlodromus pyri and Aphidius rhopalosiphi.  As well as the standard tests required for registration under EC 91/414 the Ecotox laboratory is well known for designing tailor made studies to satisfy unusual requests from sponsors, and studies with additional species.

The following species are regularly tested at Ecotox at tier 1 (on glass substrate) or at tier 2 (on a leaf or soil substrate depending on the species)
